Shipping ten boxes to Europe: prepare these details first.
The number of boxes alone does not determine the transport method or price. Make different sizes and contents clear in one inventory.
Group the boxes
For example, list six small book boxes and four larger clothing boxes on separate rows. Record packed dimensions, approximate weight and general contents. Match box numbers to the inventory; keep private document details off outside labels.
Compare like-for-like delivery
Parcel services, extra baggage and shared-load removals have different size, weight, contents and delivery conditions. Check collection, delivery floor, documentation and packing separately. A freight-only charge is not equivalent to a full door-to-door quote.
State your flexibility
Separate the earliest collection date from the window when someone can receive the shipment. If it arrives after you, arrange an authorised recipient. Submit your inventory to have route and vehicle availability assessed.
