Packing ceramic vases with narrow necks

A narrow neck, handle or raised decoration creates vulnerable contact points on a vase. Internal support matters as much as the size of the outer box.

Packing ceramic vases with narrow necks

Before you start

Empty the vase and prepare it dry according to its care instructions. Photograph cracks and point out previous repairs to the packing team.

Practical steps

  • Protect surfaces without putting pressure on handles.
  • Prevent movement inside the box without squeezing decorative details.
  • Do not place a heavy vase loosely in a box with small decorative objects.

Checks on arrival

Remove packing material gradually when opening the box. If you find broken pieces, retain the packaging and photograph the condition before reporting it to the team.

What to include in your quote request

Add the quantity, approximate dimensions and preparation status to your inventory. Include the floor, lift and vehicle access at both addresses. Photos help with the initial assessment. Confirm responsibility for packing, dismantling and reassembly in the written quote.
