Distinguishing fixed and movable office equipment

Not every item in an office automatically belongs to the company's moving load. Assess fixed installations, building equipment and movable devices separately.

Distinguishing fixed and movable office equipment

Before you start

Agree internally which items stay. Separately plan qualified responsibility for work on fixed electrical or network infrastructure.

Practical steps

  • Clearly code equipment being moved.
  • Remove building equipment that stays from the loading list.
  • Confirm removal, transport and destination installation as separate parts of the scope.

Checks on arrival

Compare retained and removed equipment against the list once the office is cleared. Resolve uncertain items with the responsible people instead of making spontaneous dismantling decisions.

What to include in your quote request

Share equipment and furniture inventories, the new layout and working schedule. Assign responsibility for packing, technical disconnection, transport and setup separately. Confirm the service scope and delivery sequence in writing.
