Numbering modular sofa sections for your new home
Sofa sections may look alike but use different connectors or orientations. Prepare a simple room layout alongside an identification system for each module.
Before you start
Sketch the sofa from above and identify corner, middle and end sections. If changing the arrangement, check that the connectors support the proposed layout.
Practical steps
- Photograph the connectors underneath each section and repeat its number on the packaging.
- Match removable feet and cushions to the relevant section.
- Measure the largest part that cannot be dismantled for doorway access; total seating width is not enough.
Checks on arrival
Count the sections, feet and cushions on delivery. If connectors do not meet, check orientation and labels before trying to push the modules together.
What to include in your quote request
Add the quantity, approximate dimensions and preparation status to your inventory. Include the floor, lift and vehicle access at both addresses. Photos help with the initial assessment. Confirm responsibility for packing, dismantling and reassembly in the written quote.
