Photographing sealed boxes for your records

Package photographs help identify carton numbers and their condition before loading. They do not replace delivery documentation.

Photographing sealed boxes for your records

Before you start

Choose a well-lit area. Include the box number and exterior together while keeping private documents outside the frame.

Practical steps

  • Photograph notable damage on different sides separately.
  • Add the carton code and date to the file name.
  • Store images in the same structure as the inventory and avoid sharing unnecessary personal data.

Checks on arrival

Record differences on delivery under the same carton code. For damage, also follow the documentation and notification process in the moving agreement.

What to include in your quote request

Share your current inventory with collection and delivery details. Include large items, packing responsibilities and the intended date alongside carton numbers. Record subsequent changes in the same place and confirm that the final list matches the written quote.
